This publication introduces the Global MenCare Campaign to promote equitable, non-violent relationships between men, women, and children. It is framed with the assumption that the participation of men in domestic work, maternal health, and as caregivers for children is a necessary and largely overlooked aspect of achieving gender equality.

Besides introducing further information on the campaign, it also links fatherhood to the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) and how fatherhood relates to other areas of children’s wellbeing such as education and health.

The MenCare Campaign has produced many materials, including Program P: A Manual for Engaging Men in Fatherhood, Caregiving, and Maternal and Child Health
