WALAW (No Way/What If)

“WALAW (No Way/What If)” is a short movie based on a true story that describes how within a loving family, the 8-year old daughter is exposed to child sexual abuse by a close family member without the awareness of the parents. During that period the parents attribute their daughter’s strange behavior to her age and don’t see what is happening to her at close proximity. In the last scene, the couple discuss the occurrence of child sexual abuse in other families and express what many parents would think about the topic: “walaw, such a thing is not possible in our family”.
