Save the Children Sweden
Undocumented children are one of society’s most vulnerable groups. Save the Children Sweden has extensive experience with meeting undocumented children and knows that among these children there exists economic vulnerability as well as widespread mental illness.
From its experience of working with undocumented children, Save the Children Sweden has formulated a list of recommendations for how social services can improve their treatment and provision of services. The municipalities’ responsibility for these children should be clarified and guidelines should be established for municipalities as well as at a national level for the right to social support. More information on each recommendation is provided in these guidelines.
