United Nations Security Council Resolution 1998 (2011)

Adopted by the Security Council at its 6581st meeting on 12 July 2011, this Resolution “urges parties to armed conflict to refrain from actions that impede children’s access to education and to health services and requests the Secretary General to continue to monitor and report, inter alia, on the military use of schools and hospitals in contravention of international humanitarian law, as well as on attacks against, and/or kidnapping of teachers and medical personnel.”
