United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000)

This resolution was adopted by the United Nations Security Council at its 4213th meeting, on 31 October 2000.  It affirms the Council’s support of women’s rights and encourages actions to increase the number of women in leadership as well as to support policies to reduce incidents of sexual and gender-based violence.
