This training package is designed to assist UNICEF staff and partners in establishing and operating Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) in an emergency. It covers all aspects of developing and operating a CFS and presents design approaches that may be adapted in various contexts. The overall aim is to improve the standards and capacity of field staff by providing the required knowledge to support the design and operations of child friendly spaces. Included are:

  • PowerPoints for 4 sessions;
  • Training evaluation;
  • A folder with resources and handouts for trainees; and
  • Spanish versions of key resources.
