Seven-year-old Maxim* has seen the horrors of the conflict in Ukraine. His home was severely damaged when a shell hit the apartment above it. “At first I didn’t believe it had happened. But then I came here and saw the big hole with my own eyes,” Maxim says.
Save the Children, with funding from the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department, is supplying Maxim’s family with shelter supplies so they can repair the apartment to protect them from the freezing winter conditions.
