Tsunami Practitioners’ Conference – Chennai, India, 7th-9th February 2008

This report has been produced as a result of the consultations held between practitioners from the Save the Children Alliance Tsunami Programmes (TRP) operating in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India in the 2004 Asian tsunami aftermath. The conference, which was held in Chennai, India 7th-9th February 2004, provided an opportunity for the team of practitioners from the three tsunami-affected countries to come together for an exchange of information, experiences and skills to support improved operations in the future. The report gives a slightly greater focus on the Indian TRP.
