Too often in silence. Addressing violence in schools – Selected initiatives from West and Central Africa

This report is a joint publication by ActionAid, Plan West Africa Regional Office, Save the Children Sweden West Africa, and UNICEF West and Central Africa Regional Office, as part of their joint Education and Protection Initiative that was launched following the publication of the United Nations Report on Violence Against Children in 2008. This report is primarily aimed at policy makers, education and education stakeholders from teachers’ unions, educators, and children and communities. It presents selected current responses to school-based violence at national, community and school levels.
