The Women, Peace and Security Institute (WPSI) of Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), in partnership with the Save the Children International (SCI), held a three-day symposium from 26th to 28th October 2021. The symposium aimed to create a platform for regional child protection experts, policy makers, experts from academia and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to deliberate on the involvement of children in armed conflict and how to involve the youth in peacebuilding processes. The deliberations were based on findings of research conducted in selected countries namely Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria.
