The octagon is a tool for assessing strengths and weaknesses in individual organizations and can be used both in your own organization and in collaboration partners. The octagon can function as a tool to conduct a structured dialogue with a partner organization when the aim is to get an overall picture and get to know the organization well. It can also serve as an aid to choosing partners; lead to group partner organizations in relation to their internal organizational development needs; or to identify when, as a financier, you should phase out support for organizational development.
