Life Skills are complex and abstract concepts that are difficult to measure. In order to have a scientifically robust, valid, and standardized mechanism to assess the effectiveness of life skills trainings, SC developed the Life Skills Assessment Tool (LSA) in partnership with the Center of Science of Student Learning (CSSL), which measures understanding-self, relationship skills, high-order thinking skills, entrepreneurship, employability, commitment to education, and growth mindset.

This brief seeks to provide a short and detailed summary on the process of the tool development, its content, potential uses and recommendations for adaptation to other contexts.
