The Kosovo Story Strengthening Child Rights Through Child-Led Group Partnerships

This story highlights the achievements, and the impact made by members of these groups, because of the comprehensive support of the Sida funded – CSO Strengthening Programme since 2014. These young advocates are trained and supported to engage and participate in decision-making processes, tackling issues like quality education, climate change and gender equality. The programme also empowers children with disabilities to champion their rights and actively participate in their communities and policymaking. Through enhanced advocacy and agency, children are developing leadership, communication, and advocacy skills, creating real change in their communities and inspiring a generation of proactive, empowered youth and active citizens. Children have gained increased opportunities to exchange best practices, learn child-friendly advocacy tactics, and engage in consultations with adults and stakeholders.
