The Achieve for Youth Employability Project supports vulnerable and marginalized youth in Thailand by strengthening employability skills, confidence, and pathways to decent work. Since its establishment in Thailand’s Southernmost provinces in 2018, the project has focused on life skills development, digital literacy, 21st-century competencies, and vocational training in the hospitality sector. In 2024, the project expanded to Mae Sot, Tak Province, extending opportunities to migrant youth facing barriers to education and employment.
This publication, Internship Diary Cohort 3, presents personal reflections and stories from youth participants who completed internship placements in hotels and hospitality businesses in Bangkok and Mae Sot during the 2025–2026 programme cycle. Through diary-style storytelling, participants share their experiences of personal growth, workplace learning, confidence building, and overcoming challenges related to migration, interrupted education, and limited employment opportunities.
The stories demonstrate how practical training, mentorship, and supportive partnerships can positively impact young people’s lives by strengthening professional skills, communication, teamwork, and self-belief. The publication highlights the importance of inclusive employability programmes in helping youth transition into meaningful and sustainable employment while creating hope and opportunities for their futures.
