The Children’s Emergency Fund: January – March 2026 Impact Report

In 2026, around 239 million people will need humanitarian assistance driven by conflict, climate disasters, disease outbreaks, economic instability and food shortages. The Children’s Emergency Fund exists to help children wherever and whenever disaster strikes. Funds can be released immediately to our teams and local partners around the world to respond quickly and help communities recover. The Fund also supports anticipatory action because acting before a predictable crisis means we can limit the impact and save lives.

Between January-March 2026, the Fund provided $19.7 million USD to respond to emergencies in 49 countries. This includes escalating conflict in Lebanon, a protracted crisis in Sudan and a cyclone in Madagascar.
