This teaching guide is a child-friendly accompaniment to the children’s story ‘The Girl Who Lost Her Country’ and is designed to teach children about borders and belonging as well as citizenship and rights. It aims at helping learners to understand their identity and relationships with others, the world around them and the rights they hold as well as how they can claim these rights. The guide explores the concepts of borders, identity, belonging, citizenship and last but not the least statelessness.
