SC’s Localisation Task Team is happy to present a selection of key articles, blogs and reports on localisation and local leadership from the aid sector at large.
This week we focus on how different humanitarian actors need to change to meet their localisation commitments. This entails new roles for INGOs in a more localised humanitarian future and requires international humanitarian actors to discuss issues of power. To adjust to and promote change, WFP has developed a Localisation Policy, while #standwithcivilsociety reminds us that the marginalisation of civil society actors in discussions about future aid and current reforms is no longer tolerable.
