Children can be vulnerable for different reasons and quite frequently in several ways. Because children do not have the same standing in society as adults and do not express themselves “maturely”, there is risk that their suffering or vulnerability will be hidden from sight. It is therefore important for adults to dare see and react when they suspect a child of being victim of abuse.
This pamphlet provides information on how to recognize abuse and what to do once it is suspect. It also provides guidance on how to create guidelines in your local organization on what to do when children are suspected to be victims of abuse.
