Supporting Protective and Integrative Services for Children in Street Situation

The Daily Centre for Children in Street Situation in Tirana, Albania, began its activities in February 2009 as a joint initiative of Save the Children and the Municipality of Tirana, in partnership with Albanian association Children of the World and of Albania (FBSH). The Centre responded with direct services to the needs of children living and working on the street. The main goal of the Centre was to provide and ensure support to children living in a street situation and to protect them from all forms of exploitation. This briefing presents some additional background information on the program as well as some facts and figures on participation and activities.
