In 2021, Save the Children’s Skills to Succeed (S2S) program in China conducted a summer camp for children of factory workers at the Bosch Electronic Tool factory in Hangzhou. The objective of the summer camp was to build children’s social-emotional learning (SEL), digital and STEM skills so they can be better prepared to succeed in school and in the future of work in a supportive, equal and safe environment that enables their lifelong learning and ability to be resilient in the digital economy.
This learning brief describes the shared value partnerships between Bosch and Save the Children, as well as successes and lessons learned from the first year of implementation of the summer camp.
