The humanitarian crisis in Sudan has intensified, with 30.4 million people, including 15.3 million children, in urgent need of assistance. UNICEF’s response in February 2025 included distributing vaccines, providing primary healthcare, and supporting nutrition, education, and WASH services. Despite challenges such as displacement, violence, and disease outbreaks, UNICEF aims to reach 13.6 million people with essential services. However, the response remains critically underfunded, with 74% of the required funding unmet, posing severe risks to vulnerable children and families.
