Sudan: Humanitarian Situation Report No. 27

The humanitarian crisis in Sudan has escalated, with 30.4 million people, including 15.6 million children, in urgent need of assistance. UNICEF’s efforts in January 2025 included delivering vaccines, providing primary healthcare, and supporting nutrition, education, and WASH services. Despite significant challenges such as displacement, violence, and disease outbreaks, UNICEF aims to reach 13.1 million people with essential services. However, the response remains critically underfunded, with 74% of the required funding unmet, posing severe risks to vulnerable children and families.
