Two years into Sudan’s brutal war, the country faces the world’s largest humanitarian disaster, with over 30 million people in need of assistance. The conflict has led to unprecedented levels of displacement, hunger, and violence, affecting millions both within Sudan and in neighboring countries. Key indicators include:

  • Displacement: Over 11.5 million internally displaced people and 3.7 million refugees.
  • Hunger: 600,000 people living in famine conditions, with 8 million on the brink.
  • Violence: Ethnic-targeted attacks, mass rapes, and killings.

The crisis has overwhelmed humanitarian response capabilities, exacerbated by severe funding shortages. Urgent international action is needed to halt the war, prevent famine, combat sexual violence, ensure humanitarian access, and support local humanitarian leadership.
