Save the Children Thailand
This report presents the findings of a Gap Analysis on access to education for conflict-displaced and migrant children along Thailand-Myanmar border. The study examines policy frameworks, implementation practices, protection, and on-the-ground realities affecting children’s right’s to education, with a particular focus on inclusion, protection, and quality of learning. Using a mixed-methods approach, including document review, stakeholder consultations, and field-level insights, the analysis identifies key gaps between policy commitments and actual service delivery. The report highlights systemic barriers such as legal status, language, resource constraints, and coordination challenges among stakeholders. Based on the findings, the report provides practical recommendations to strengthen inclusive education systems, enhance cross-sectoral collaboration, and support evidence-based policy and programmatic responses to ensure equitable access to education for all children in border and displacement-affected contexts.
