Strengthening National Child Protection Systems in Emergencies Through Community-based Mechanisms: A discussion paper

The right support for local mechanisms – like child welfare groups and child protection committees – can strengthen national child protection systems. This report sets out what steps child protection practitioners and donors can take to support system strengthening in emergencies. It also looks at the relationship between local and national systems through three case studies – from Myanmar, the occupied Palestinian territory and Timor Leste.
