Strengthening Community Engagement and Local Government Support to Improve Community Health Care Programs

The purpose of this policy brief is to inform discussions and decisions at the national and local levels in Bangladesh regarding why community and government support is essential to improve community health programming. This brief summarizes recent programming implemented by the Improving Community Health Workers project.

The brief offers several context-specific program and policy suggestions that the national Government of Bangladesh and local governments can take to improve the effectiveness of their community health programs.
