Stop the War on Children: Pathways to peace

This is our eighth report in Save the Children’s ‘Stop the War on Children’ series. Six years into reporting on how children are affected by conflict, the troubling reality is that more than 1 of 6 children in the world find themselves in contexts affected by conflict, with devastating consequences for their lives and their futures. 2023 also marks the worst year on record for grave violations against children, with 31,721 violations verified, a 15% increase from 2022. The findings of this report are stark, and the message is clear – we need to take concerted, collective action to turn back the tide of brutality and indifference and better protect children in conflict, and embark on the paths to peace.
