Step Up, Speak Out: The MSA Field Guide on Policy Advocacy for MSM and Transgender Communities in South Asia

This advocacy guide is designed to provide advice to men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender communities in South Asia on how to formulate and implement advocacy strategies to achieve policy change to protect the rights and improve the health and wellbeing of sexual and gender minorities. Sections offer guidance on advocacy processes and tools, allowing users to build on their own experience and knowledge and adapt approaches to their own needs and contexts, with case studies throughout. This guide was developed under the Global Fund Multi-Country South Asia program (MSA), which operated in seven countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka between 2011 and 2018.
