State of neglect – Displaced children in the Central African Republic

This report focuses on three main topics: Internal displacement in the Central African Republic (CAR) including causes and patterns of displacemen; the situation of displaced children in four towns affected by displacement; and the legal and institutional frameworks needed to protect the human rights of displaced children under 18 years of age. Policy recommendations to the government of CAR, armed opposition groups, UN agencies, international donors, and humanitarian organisations underline the state of neglect in which displaced children have been left, and provide a roadmap for their protection.
