This is a supplementary report to Bangladesh’s second periodic report on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This update, submitted to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, has been necessitated by increased racial discrimination and other human rights violations against the indigenous Jumma peoples since the submission of the alternate report “The status of indigenous and minority children in Bangladesh” in June 2003 to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, during the pre-sessional hearing of the second periodic report of the government of Bangladesh (CRC/C/65/Add.22).
