Development and humanitarian initiatives often aim to influence individual choices and behaviors by improving knowledge and awareness – but social pressures, cultural norms or economic constraints may have an even bigger influence on behaviors or decision making. Our SBC programs are designed to understand and respond to harmful gender norms and challenge the social, structural and environmental inequities that affect development outcomes for children and their communities.
