Skills to Succeed Vietnam’s E-Learning Program on Employability Skills for Youth

The Skills to Succeed (S2S) Vietnam program delivers employability skills training to migrant students in vocational colleges to help them successfully transition into the job market. The training covers topics such as self-exploration, job search skills, communication and problem solving, labor rights, and financial management. To make the employability skills training accessible to more migrant youth, in late 2019 the S2S team developed and implemented an interactive e-learning course. In 2020 alone, over 3,000 youth took the e-learning course and were equipped with the employability skills they need to find and maintain decent work. This brief describes the advantages of switching to e-learning, the content of the course, how youth access and engage with the course, the process of developing the course, and key learnings for other programs looking to develop an e-learning course.
