Shoulder to Shoulder: Approaches to strengthen local humanitarian leadership

Crudan and Tearfund have since 1992 worked together in development initiatives in Nigeria. In 2015, they approached a new way of working, whereby Tearfund established a small team in northeast Nigeria to Crudan’s humanitarian response through long-term accompaniment and mentoring.

This briefing paper details Tearfund and Crudan’s recommendations and the impact of this new way of collaboration.
