Save the Children Lebanon
This Shelter, WASH and Protection Needs Assessment by Save the Children evaluates the severe humanitarian impacts of the 2026 escalation of conflict and displacement in Lebanon, with a specific focus on South Lebanon and Nabatiyeh Governorates. Synthesizing data from over 19 sources, the assessment highlights critical needs across shelter damage and rental affordability, strained water and sanitation infrastructure, widespread child protection and psychosocial distress, gender-based risks, and inclusion barriers for persons with disabilities. Ultimately, the report provides an evidence-based framework for an integrated, multi-sectoral response across the prioritized districts of Tyre, Nabatiyeh, Bint Jbeil, Marjaayoun, and Hasbaya to support the safety, dignity, and recovery of affected children and families.
