Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Health Counseling Cards for Healthcare Workers

The Management of small & nutritionally At risk Infants under 6-months & their Mothers (MAMI) focuses on the infant including the newborn and their mother or caregiver providing an important opportunity for counseling and referral to lifesaving sexual, reproductive, maternal and newborn health services. These five cares may be used by healthcare workers during a MAMI counseling session with a mother or caregiver and include essential information on newborn care, kangaroo mother care (KMC), postnatal care for the mother and newborn, child spacing, and gender-based violence (GBV).
