This report summarizes the situation of internally displaced people (IDPs) who fled clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sennar state. Conflict erupted on 26 June in Jebel Moya village, Sennar locality and spread to Sinjar locality which has resulted in the displacement of over 136,000 individuals. An estimated 7,333 IDP households, mostly
from Jabal Moya and Al Dali, fled to Al Jabalain locality in White Nile state. For many, this represents the second or third displacement since the beginning of the war, after having fled Khartoum in the first months of the war and Al Jazira state in December 2023. The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and Save the Children (SCI), partners in an ECHO-funded RRM consortium, conducted an assessment on 11 July to gain an understanding of the situation on the ground and to assess the needs of the IDP households.
