In 2012-2013, School Health and Nutrition reached over 4 million directly through its programmes, and an additional 7 million children indirectly. School Health and Nutrition (SHN) are interventions that aim to improve the health and nutrition of school-age children, their related behaviors and skills, and consequently, their participation in school and education outcomes. This programme update describes the highlights from the programme in the past year, a programme overview, country updates, and events.

Some of the highlights from the past year include:

– UNAIDS Inter-Agency Task Team on Education Symposium

– Malaria in Schools in Mali and Malawi

– FRESH Monitoring and Evaluation Framework

– Partnership with the Wrigley Foundation

– SHN and ECD Toolkit

… Amongst other exciting progress!
