Save the Children (SCI) Iraq Youth Strategy 2027–2032

The Save the Children International Iraq Youth Strategy 2027–2032 provides a unified framework for working with and for adolescents and young people across development and humanitarian contexts. It positions young people as rights-holders, partners, leaders and accountability actors, with particular attention to those affected by conflict, displacement, disability and exclusion. The strategy prioritises five outcomes: meaningful youth influence; responsive institutions and public finance; social cohesion and safe civic engagement; improved pathways to learning, skills and livelihoods; and strengthened protection, wellbeing and resilience. Grounded in safeguarding, inclusion, localisation and youth-led evidence, it establishes clear governance and accountability mechanisms to ensure that youth participation is safe, properly resourced and connected to tangible institutional change.
