Save the Children has been working with local partners in Nigeria since 2001 to fulfil our mission to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. In 2024, our programming and advocacy in Nigeria reached a total of 24.6 million participants: 2.4 million directly
and 22.2 million indirectly. We achieved this through the tireless efforts of our amazing 500+ staff, operating from 15 offices across the country, and by working in close collaboration with a wide range of partners. We had direct programme operations in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Oyo, Jigawa, Zamfara, Benue, Cross River, Lagos and Ondo; while in Niger, Sokoto, Ebonyi, Bauchi, Kebbi, Taraba and Akwa Ibom we worked through our partner offices.
