Save the Children Definitions of Green Skills and Jobs for Adolescent and Youth

Between Dec. 2021 and Sept. 2022, Save the Children has supported a global Consultancy on Green Jobs. Lead by SC Italy, a global Green Jobs Task Force (GJTF) has worked to position Save the Children in the field of the green economy and has involved 10 Countries: Albania, Bolivia, China, Côte d’Ivoire, Italy, Malawi, Mexico, Thailand, Uganda and Vietnam. One of the results is this guidance where the definitions of green skills and green jobs for adolescents and youth are included. In short: Green skills will support adolescents and youth in accessing green jobs as well as making sustainable consumption and lifestyle choices every day. Green jobs for adolescents and help preserve or restore the environment (including its climate).
