Save the Children Sweden
During 2009, Save the Children Sweden (SCS) worked in a number of countries across the Southeast Asia and the Pacific region with other Save the Children members, partner organisations, families, communities, and children, to achieve the most for children and make the best use of SCS’s resources. SCS focused their efforts on a child-rights programming approach in four thematic areas: Child Protection – protecting children from violence, neglect, abuse and exploitation, Education – children’s rights to quality education, Child Rights Governance – developing civil society organisation’s capacity to support child rights, and Emergency and Disaster Risk Reduction – promoting child-centred preparedness and risk reduction strategies.
