Standard Advocacy messages on Child Protection in Emergencies (CPIE) developed in consultation with Save the Children’s Child Protection Initiative. These messages are meant to help Save the Children country offices in being prepared for an emergency response and include child protection in their advocacy strategy as soon as possible. Child rights, and rights to protection, apply in all situations, including emergencies. The messages are derived from the long-standing experience that Save the Children has in responding to child protection concerns in emergencies, where many of the child protection challenges are recurrent and invariably emerge. They cover both conflict situations and onset natural disasters.
