The staff code of conduct outlines SC’s expectations related to professional and personal conduct and consequences if these are not adhered to. The Code applies to all staff across sectors and in both humanitarian and development contexts. The code includes a set of principles related to respecting the basic rights of all (fellow staff and beneficiaries alike), protecting children, maintaining high professional standards, protecting the safety and well-being of oneself and others, protecting the organization’s assets and resources and committing to report incidents of concern related to potential violations of The Code. All Save the Children staff including managers are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code includes a set of guiding principles and corresponding guidance outlining appropriate behaviour. Should be used in conjunction with other HR policies and expectations for SC staff including SC’s Child Safeguarding Policy, personal safety and security protocols, legal frameworks.
