Save the Children
This document presents Save the Children’s policy for gender equality. It is not intended as a ‘how-to’, but rather to inform and highlight Save the Children’s commitments and guiding principles for engaging in equality work. It provides further information on why a focus on gender is necessary in all Save the Children work, as well as the important role each has when putting this policy into action.
Save the Children’s gender equality policy: Gender equality is a basic right for all people, including girls and boys. Based on this understanding, Save the Children recognizes that only by directly addressing gender discrimination and promoting gender equality can we ensure that no harm comes to children and advance our vision for a world where every child attains their equal right to survival, protection, development and participation.
