Samadhan – Building Disaster Resilient Communities

This publication is a reflection of project experiences, learning and achievements through the disaster risk management initiative. CARE-Nepal has been committed to building disaster resilient communities through initiatives that have helped make a difference. The information included in this book has been aimed at giving an overview of the disaster scenario in Nepal and give a human face to the project through stories from the field. The book also elaborates on how Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) efforts have changed the community perspective, ensuring the poorest, most vulnerable and marginalized understand the simple and practical actions to protect lives and assets in case of natural disasters.
