SAIL and BHA Projects Joint Market Assessment in Cabo Delgado

MEAL team together with BHA and ECHO project team conducted a market assessment to determine the functionality food and scholastic market system (for maize, rice, beans, cooking oil –food market, and books, writing materials, school uniform-scholastic market) respectively in Cabo Delgado. The market assessment was undertaken to analyse Cabo Delgado’s food and scholastic market environment, structure and network. The assessment shed light on financial and physical infrastructure, trader typology, trader limitations and constraints to trade as well as covering market functionality throughout different seasons in a year.
