Safe from Harm on the Internet through Empowerment, Learning, and Dialogue Project: Year 1 Success Story (Thailand, 2025)

The SHIELD project aims to empower and strengthen online safety for every child in Thailand. The project focuses on creating a model that reaches all groups by increasing awareness and enhancing the capacity of children, youth, parents, teachers, community leaders, schools, and relevant agencies involved in preventing and responding to online threats. This is a 3-year project (January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2027) with the following objectives:

• Capacity Building: To enhance the capacity of parents, teachers, community leaders, schools, and various organizations in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces to create a safe online environment for children, resulting in a model that can be applied in other areas.
• Case Management: To empower these same groups in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces to manage cases effectively and provide appropriate support to children who have been violated online.
• Policy Development: To improve the efficiency of regulations or policies related to the prevention and response to Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA).
