The Return to Learning (RtL) Program was designed to support social-emotional learning, literacy, and numeracy skills of Venezuela migrant children who attend formal schools in Arauca and Cali. It was planned to be implemented as an after-school program and was due to start in March 2020 when the COVID-19 lockdowns began. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Save the Children (SC) Colombia did not have access to schools and had very limited mobility in the field. In response, SC Colombia switched to a remote modality. This report summarizes results from a four-cohort project to assess the efficacy of using remote only learning content and evaluation methods to assess children and caregivers’ engagement in learning programs, and focus on children’s social-emotional wellbeing, literacy, and numeracy during the program.
