The document provides a case study of the Victory Against Malnutrition Plus (ViMPlus) initiative in the Centre Nord region of Burkina Faso. It is a seven-year Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA) funded by USAID and aims to strengthen food and nutrition security among vulnerable populations, especially women and children. The core strategy involves Resilient Nutrition Groups (GASPAs), which support pregnant and lactating women through shared learning, cooking demonstrations, and malnutrition screenings. The GASPAs have been pivotal in enhancing child and maternal nutrition, even during crises such as the ongoing security challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, ViMPlus encourages income-generating activities and promotes community gardens, helping mothers produce improved infant flour and dried leafy vegetables to ensure food diversification year-round.
