Report: Bangkok Climate Action Week 2025

This report documents Save the Children Thailand’s roles as an organizing partner in Bangkok Climate Action Week 2025 (BKKCAW), a city-wide climate action festival aimed at amplifying children’s and young people’ s voices in addressing climate and environmental crises. Bringing together children and youth from diverse regions of Thailand and Hong Kong, the project created inclusive spaces for participation, dialogue, and advocacy on climate change, environmental degradation, and their impacts on children’s lives.

Through collaboration with 12 partner organizations, Save the Children Thailand organized four key events: a climate Community Playground and “The solutions” booth promoting creative problem-solving, a Children and Youth Policy Workshop and Roundtable facilitating policy dialogue and recommendations, Film Screenings and Dialogues highlighting the intersections of climate change, gender, and vulnerability, and a Re-Art community event integrating art, waste management, and community engagement. Together, these activities directly engaged 3,029 participants and reached nearly 40,000 people indirectly through outreach and social media.

The report highlights key issues raised by participants, including waste management, flooding, air pollution, water insecurity, and the need for meaningful youth participation in climate governance. It underscores the importance of child-centered, partipatory approaches and multi-stakeholder collaboration in advancing equitable and sustainable climate solutions. The outcomes contribute to Save the Children’s Generation Hope campaign, reinforcing the call for urgent climate action that centers children’s rights and voices at local, national, and global levels.
